Healthcare Provider Development Courses

Practitioners must engage in continuing professional development, using a variety of modalities to continuously assess and improve their knowledge, skills and attitudes with the goal of improving patient care outcomes. These courses have been divided into the overseeing bodies through which the curriculum is offered.

High-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (HQ-CPR) is foundational to both basic and advanced life support and is a proven technique to improve cardiac arrest outcomes.11 CPR skills can vary greatly, depending on experience, frequency of practice, physical ability, and available resources. It is normal for there to be a gap between expertly performed CPR skills and typically performed skills. An important goal of BLS training is to narrow that gap as much as possible.
